Question for all you experts out there. I have a 2018 Ram 3500 with the 6.7L. I ordered fuel filters from Ebay last week and received yesterday. The pt#s are MO-867 which is correct for the filter under the bed, but the cartridge filter under hood they sent is MF-608 which is not the MO-291 I've always used. It does look the same, but it stats for a 2010-2012 6.7L. I called the ebay dealer and he assured it will fit as needed, as they were out and backordered on the MO-291.

Your thoughts pls.

It will fit but it doesn't filter as fine as the MO-291. The MF608 is 5 micron, the MO291 is two stage with a 5 micron and a 3 micron.

Use at your own peril!!!!!!!!!! Injectors sure are pretty pricey to replace to save a couple $'s on a fuel filter! Buy them in a 6 pack and put on the maintenance shelf or split with another party. Not worth being stuck on the side of the road! Return to sender and get from Geno's to help with TDR. You know, keep it in the family!

Thanks for everyone's input. I've already boxed back up and sent back to the Ebay dealer. Will get from Geno's or Amazon. Probably Amazon because of free shipping.

Friends,

I just purchased both fuel filters off Ebay, but from a Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep dealer. Wanted to buy from Geno's but they are backordered on both. I thought I bought three sets of fuel filters from Geno's, but it seems I bought only two sets when I bought my 5500. I think anytime you buy off Amazon or E-Bay, it's important to know who the sellers are. I verified the correct numbers on the filters.

Anyhoo, I need both soon and expect the correct OEM ones to come.

Cheers, Ron

check what comes in the box...I had the correct box but someone had replaced the Mopar with a knock off fuel filter. Just because the box is correct...don't assume! This was off of Amazon 3rd party.

Don't y'all think a Mopar Dealer qualifies as a Mopar seller?

EDIT: Although not the only problem indicator is significantly lower price. I think Geno's is a good measuring stick on price, same as official Mopar sellers.

My fuel filters arrived today. I like the Mopar dealers on Ebay. Bought a take off fold flat floor on Ebay for $150 back when I bought my 09 4500. Apparently the factory sub woofer wasn't compatible with it. Anyhoo, Cheers, Ron
