I just finished installing the Mallory Comp 140M Fuel Pump at the tank with 1/2 Stainless Braided Fuel line. I am getting a few leaks at my fittings. What thread sealant should I use? The stuff I used cuurently gets eaten by diesel. Thanks!

Ditto on what Mr. Bill said. In fact, I learned it from Mr. Bill :D . Permatex #2 works great and as a bonus, it smells great. I only use anti-seize on the fittings into the block/manifold, smells like rotten eggs in case you are interested.

Not to discourage you, but those Mallory pumps don't have a great track record. Just keep an eye on the psi's so you have a heads up when it starts to go south. I went through 3 of 'em before I gave up and tried something else. If yours is the Marine version it might last a bit longer, not much more though IMHO. When they are working, it's a good pump. They just don't have the longevity.

I have permatex aviation gasket maker. It's a brown liquid with a applicator-handle. Is this what you are refering to? Thanks

Negative, Permatex #2 is a white paste, comes in a squeeze type of dispener, at least that's what mine is packaged in.

sender & lines

Thanks for the help. By the way, any advice on how to physically mount a westach sender to the firewall or anywhere else? It's a round cylinder with no threads or way to mount it? Thanks
