Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Well the vp44 went and the dealer did the swape and modifcation to the fuel system where they replace the lift pump with a in tank pump. My question is that now I am getting false readings as to the volume indicated on the gage.
Usually when I put 24 gallons in the truck the indication is at about 1/8 th above the E on the gage before fueling. Now that they have done the mod I put fuel in ,indication was 1/8th below the half way indication on the gage and it took 24. 5 gallons. I called the dealer and told them what happened and asked if they caliberated the system, they tell me that all they flashed the computer and everything should be correct.
Is this right? are the indication normal for an in tank pump? Or do they need to do some thing with the float?
On a side note, before the so called upgrade my computer for mileage was close to hand calculation, now it is 2 to 3 gallons better than before, which was about 17 city with 4 wheel dr, 410 rear, no bombs is this a direct result of the computer flash or does it get info from the fuel indication.
Sorry, one more question, when the flash is done do they add any inut like wheel size? Thanks for any help
