Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fuel Gage

I am having trouble with the fuel gauge not working like it should

works when it wants to. what needs to be done to correct this problem.

Your fuel gauge sending unit is probably bad. This is a weakness in these trucks. Either replace it with a new one or fix it as per instructions in this link: http://dodgeram.org/tech/repair/fuel_sender/sender.htm



You can also do the fix on a new sender before installation to help it last longer. I fixed my original one a long time ago and it's still working fine.
