Enough Bichin' about fuel $$, here's some good news

FASS and overflow return line????

My nephew works security in Iraq and told us gas is 7 cents a gallon in Iraq. Seems I heard Sadam was gonna flood the market with crude oil a few years ago which would have driven price down to nada... Then we went to war against them and I haven't heard squat about oil coming out of Iraq. I believe that country is one of the world's biggest sources of oil resources in the world.

Now fuel is up to $2. 70 gal here in Wisconsin and $3. 20 in Ca, about a buck increase in a year. I ALWAYS FELT WE WENT OVER THERE FOR OIL... SEEMS I WAS RIGHT ! EVERYBODY BETTER CONTACT THEIR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN IN WASHINGTON AND DEMAND SOME ACTION! Don't take me wrong, I supported Bush but I'd be the first one to have him tried for treason if this could be proven.

ARE WE GETTING A HOSE JOB HERE...

I'm being serious when I ask you to explain this to me. Saddam was supposedly going to flood the market with oil which would bring down the price, so went over there "just for the oil" and screw that plan up? This meaning Saddam would be giving up higher profits for the sole benefit of giving the US cheaper gas? "IF" that's understanding anyone believes is correct, they must be living a very sheltered and uneducated life. I hope people don't let there being upset with gas prices lose there sensibility that this man is a tyrant and would care less to help us.

We are there, have been for along time, have "control" of the oil, we have not lowered our prices. I would think if we went there so we could get all the oil, we would be getting all the oil now and it would be lowering our prices (please don't tell me we are getting the oil and Bush and Chenay are lining there pockets or I will have to laugh and point at you). Something else tells me that would be highly illegal for us to do. It's frustrating to me that all it takes is the price of gas to go up for the American people lose there wits and forget about crimes against us. The list is to long to go over and I'll spare everyone... not that it would make anyone think beyond gas anyway.

We should call and write our congressmen and ask them why gas is $1. 99 in one state and 3. 35 in another. Ask them why we don't refine one type of fuel to cut down refinery costs compared to over 30. Our own elected officials are taking us for a ride and lining there pockets and we are letting them do it to us. We are barking up the wrong tree's because we think it's easier to blame one person. What's the saying? "We can't see the forest because of the tree's"

Sorry Billygee this was not pointed at you it's just my general frustration in peoples simplicity. Please tell me how you feel we went there for oil?

Don't blame Busch or the war in Iraq for the high price of fuel. Blame the Chinese for using so damn much of it. Stop buying plastic junk from China.

I would like to blame someone for not seriously stepping up the Bio-diesel program. The answer lies with cheap bio-diesel and lots of diesel powered automobiles. Rudolph Diesel knew that but guys like DuPont turned the engine away from Rudolph's vision.

Since when do we care if what we do is considered illegal to the rest of the world?

I must have hit my head on something. Maybe I'm getting senile. Or perhaps it's because I don't watch Fox News because I can't recall the crimes that he committed against us. Would it be too much trouble for you to give us just one that justifies the nearly 2,000 lives of our service men and woman?

Too complicated for most it seems

 Like it or not

The bottom line is that we are involved in a Holy war. The big picture is that we need a prescence in the middle east. Iraq is a large country with borders on country's we need to "influence". There is no way Americans can be safe at home by just turning a blind eye. This situation must be dealt with. I am certain we will be attacked here soon. We need to stop being politcly correct and whip some ***. Anything less costs American lives and prolongs this thing. That is just the way it is. Stop crying about fuel costs and start poking a finger at the folks we elect. Force them to start pushing alternate fuels like Bio-diesel.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out that we ship US oil to Iraq for use by our military just so that it doesn't look like we went there for their oil.

I guess allot are getting senile. Curl up in the comfy cosy chair and complain how you have to wait at the airport to get your bags checked and then complain like heck when someone blows up your family. And ofcourse no racial profiling to cut down those airport waits either because we know terrorists don't belong in majority to a certain ethnic background.

Gitmo is way to hard on terrorists too, not enough quiet time, only 3 meals a day and waiting hand and foot not to offend their religion. Meanwhile we don't care how they treat our soldiers, shoot them, blow them up, cut their heads off. Much less give them a bible, feed them and treat them kindly.

I don't even know why I bother on this, I guess on he off chance some EZ boy rider that's not satisfied in his own life and would rather see American's look bad as a whole just so they can blame one man, may change his simple view on the new world we live in. Why doesn't anyone cry when clinton sold nuclear power plans to china? Or didn't take Osama when Saudi was handing him over to us before all this started? Why don't you complain about all the UN officials scamming all the oil for food money?

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Bush is great, I'm not saying he's bad. This happens with every President and there are just to many people who are limited in there vision to blame one person for sole purpose of being Democrat or Republican, how nieve.

Oh, what a bland response as far as saying since when do we care about doing stuff illegal. Open your eyes, We trip over ourselves trying to please everyone and not offend anyone. Well thats not the way it works, people are offended everyday, no one is the same. Infact the majority of people everywhere are offended daily, its just some choose to cry about it everyday and dont care if they offend others as long as it doesnt happen to them and allot of people in this country are trying to oblige them.

3,000 people in the world trade center warrant our losses and who knows how many have been saved since. You think they just would have stopped if they saw they could get away with it? Weapons of mass destruction, no? Maybe not, maybe so... . we may not have found any but he sure was trying to obtain them and has used them in the past. Theres allot of desert out there, we wouldnt have ever found these planes if there wasnt a huge sand storm that barely uncovered the tail fin of one.

You think all kinds of stuff couldnt be burried all across that land? No your probably right, Saddam and all the other terrorists are good people who would have left us alone after they tought us one good lesson with the trade centers... its just us war mongering Americans that keep provoking those good ol' boys.

I guess I stirred a few folks up!

Just to clarify a few things. I don't have any factual basis of us going into Irag because of oil but read about it and heard some more about it which I guess isn't worth a tinker's damn... but anybody that doesn't believe that big money(Spelled OIL) doesn't call the shots in this world has their head in the sand... it ain't all economics of supply and demand... them that control the supply control the demand... we should all live by the Golden Rule... those that have the Gold set the Rules you know...

Also I want to make it clear that I am a big supporter of the current President and I fully support our going into Iraq and any other place that some maniac is trying to figure out how to make a nuke or pull off a stunt like 9/11/01, We have to get all of these terrorists and rather over there then here. We also have to do a better job of selling our position on these issues to the American citizen and especially the rest of the world or we are going to have more and more that hate us and want to terrorize us.

I really wanted to get everyone's attention to this fuel price increasing like wildfire. Sorry if it took some the wrong way. But I hope it got your attention enough so you start writing or e-mailing your representatives in DC. It is TIME FOR SOME ANSWERS ...

the oil from the middle east is also high in sulfer content, so refining it for fuel and lube oils requires extra work to scrub out the sulfer...

i just wish canada would stop exporting all our oil to outside countries and keep it local. there is massive amounts of oil in the tar sands at syncrude, and if we didn't buy stuff from outside and just kept it local, we could drop our oil prices massively, but the canadian goverment doesn't seem to know how to or want to do that. . i guess someone high up would loose a big kickback if that happened :(

It's a global economy, and crude oil is a global commodity. If China is willing to pay $66. 50/bbl for crude oil, it isn't going to be sold locally for $30. 00/bbl. Not gonna happen - that's not the way the free market works.
