Last weekend when I was driving, my tank was about 1/2 full and the gauge slowly rose to full. The truck sat for a few hours and when I started it the gauge read completely empty with the light on. When I got home I did the cluster test and the gauge started working again. Yesterday it happened again, It went all the way full and slowly worked its way down to where the fuel level should have been by my guess. This morning I started the truck and The gauge was all the way full, I stopped to fill up and left the truck running and the gauge dropped to empty. I did the cluster test again to see if it would reset and it did not go through the proper sequence, according to the manual the cluster is bad. Also, I did check the plug behind the fender wall yesterday before I left work, it was detached from its hold down I re-secured it and that's when it seemed to be functioning. Before I jump on a new cluster, are there any other things I should check out? The truck is mostly stock, I am running an airdog, I doubt that has anything to do with it. Thanks in advance. -Tad
**Ive been looking at the wiring diagram, The Z710 BK is the ground, im going to try and ground that with the power probe and see if that gets me anywhere, And if im not mistaken the N4 DB/WT wire should be the signal wire and that's where I would read the .6V-7V?**
