I think the dreaded fuel guage problem is begining. Truck showed 1/2 tank, then it showed empty and the low fuel chimes were going off. Shut down, restart back to 1/2 tank, drive it later that day and showing empty.

I know this has been a problem on 12V's, what is all involved in repairing it? Do I need to drop the tank? Approx time involved?

Thanks - Terry

fuel sending unit

I had the same problem, replaced the sending unit three times, I under warrenty, the other at about 170k and the at 275 or so replaced the whole unit which is the drop in thingee that looks and acts like an evelator, expensive, but since then no problems, now approaching 600k rvpilot

It may just be the reostat part of the unit that can be purchased seperately for about $40us. It is not list for our years but previous years is the same thing. I dropped my tank, some take the bed off. Dropping the tank and R&R'ing the sending unit took me about 1. 5 hrs. There is lots of info here about it just do a search. Cheers,
