a while back I posed this question on another guy's thread, and then forgot where I put it... kinda like 1/2 the tools in my garage #ad
---does anyone (aftermarket, or corrected Dodge subcontractor) make a fuel guage sender that won't deteriorate over time? I'm hitting a 1/8 reading w/ 9 or 10 gal remaining in tank (80gal would be cool, though) --driving me nutz--rich

Rich,

A DIY sender repair posted to the TurboDiesel list is archived here: http://www.ecpe.vt.edu/~dfritz/technical/electrical/fuel_sender-diy.htm

Another DIY repair (with photos) from the DiRT list is here: http://www.chesco.com/%7Erosenberry/diesel/Dodgesender.htm

Either of these may fix your problem permanently for less $$. I have not had the problem yet, so I do not have any experience with either repair.
