Fuel Guage

For the last couple of weeks my fuel gauge has had a mind of its own.

I have started it at the station after filling and had the guage read empty then drive a few miles and have it read full. Today it stayed on empty all day after many trips around town. I filled the tank and only took 17 gallons. I have 75k miles on the truck. What next... ... . Dan

I'd check the gauge sending unit... I've heard they go bad.
