Can someone tell me where the fuel heater is located? I just replaced my stock lift pump and fuel filter with a FASS system and I have been reading the other posts concerning fuel temp to the VP44, and it got me wondering, by removing my stock FF and LP do I have a fuel heater anymore.

Next question. A friend of mine drives a chevy diesel (167K) and he was saying each time he changes his motor oil in it he drains the oil from the pan and then dumps in 8 quarts of diesel fuel (this is with out removing the old oil filter) and lets it idle for 5 minutes before draining the oil/fuel and replacing the oil filter. He says it keeps his oil very clean in between oil changes. Has anyone done this trick? Is it good for the motor? Will it hurt a dodge diesel? What have been your expierence's.

Its a a good way to clean the engine, but you take a chance on scuffing the bearings, and take alot of metal of he bearings. Remember diesel dosn't have the lubricity it used to have.
