Competition Water to air intercoolers opinions?????

My engine is finally going to be mounting in my frame permenatly this weekend and am just wondering starting to work on the fuel system seeing I get my pump back from the shop this weekend. Anyway, a while back I swapped my fuel heater with my brothers to get him up and going when he was in a bind and mine was off the road anyway and not needed. Now I am just wondering if I would need to have it on it or can just delete it from the fuel system? I am up in Canada (the Great White North) but this truck will be only a summer driven truck now and our weather is pretty warm all summer long. If I can delete it... how do I go about doing it? it also saves me wiring it up to my GMC.

Anything else I can go without in the system also? I am running a Haisley aux fuel system also if anyone needs to know!

Thanks Ryan

you talking grid heater or the fuel filter heater???? if it's the grid heater--dump it, but if it's the other I see no reason to not use it, but it's your call--chris

The Fuel heater... . I have had no problems not running one. It's easy to by-pass too!

Get a 1/2"NTP with a 3/8 barbed fuel fitting at a parts store. Run your Feed line from the tank to it.

Your Done!

I don't have the fuel or grid heater. The truck will start down to about 30-35*F with no assist on one battery. If I want to start it in the winter, I just plug it in for a while first.

I have not had a grid heater or fuel heater since my conversion. I think it may be a issue if you want to use the truck in the winter and the temp falls below -10*c. I just plug it in when it gets cold out. Other than a little white smoke at start up no problems.
