Fuel heater wiring

When I was under my hood last replacing that B. S. throttle cable AND throttle linkage rod(because one end was bad, can't be bought separately) I saw the fuel heater connector smoking and burning up from arcing. It's now spliced in, but does Dodge make a pigtail of any kind? I'm getting really tired of these problems. My fuel guage is broken too.

You're probably better off just using solderless connectors like the rest of us have. Why replace factory crap with more of it?My 94 did the same thing as others have had this problem also.

Niki,
Fuel gauge is reoccuring problem with most trucks.
Try junk yard get one off of newer model if same type who knows they mite have come up with better one.

I keep reading about this fuel heater. I have a 1996 model and I am wondering where this fuel heater is located. Could some one give me some directions in locating this heater.

If you know where your lift pump is, it's right next to it.
It's in the screen strainer.
