2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Fuel indicator problem

Had to pull a tank today out of a 98 because he filled it with gas and after flushing out the tank and lines and putting it back together, and then filling it full of diesel the indicator reads empty and the low fuel light stays on. Anyone have some ideas as to why?

Check your connections. Could be that when you pulled the collection hose and sender assembly, something got knocked/wedged/or bent. Maybe take a rubber mallet and whack the fuel tank a couple good times to see if that frees it up.
