Fuel leak after fillup

I fueled and topped off the tank I drove 20 miles and stopped the truck and smelled fuel and found leaking fuel comming from the left side of engine, running down onto the front carrier hsng, 4x4, I looked under the truck and was unable to determine where the fuel leak was comming from. I drove home another 30 miles and let the truck cool off and looked for a leak with the engine running and could not duplicate the problem. . Did the fact that I topped off the tank on a hot day 90 degrees have anythhing to do with leak I experienced? It hasn't had the problem before.

If it is a small leak, you may check your water drain line from your fuel filter. Make sure it is closed.



Also, the fuel return line from the injection pump has a problem with cracking, but that will cover the entire firewall with fuel. That is a warranty fix.

It sounds like the roll over valve, mine will do the same thing if I fill it to the top.
