I've been trying to track down a slow fuel leak. I finally located it. At higher RPMs, it leaks slowly where it attaches to the fuel rail. It's on there pretty tight.

1. Are those washers one-time use only?
2. Where can a regular joe like me get replacement washers for the banjo at the top and the base where the rail pressure relief valve attaches to the rail?

thanks,
Tom

Machined surface to surface mounting, if it leaks one or both of the seats are etched. Probably the best route is a new rail with PRV and RP sensor from Genos.

Shoot. I don't like the idea of manipulating so many other high pressure connections and inviting more problems. Sigh.....

Any possibility of incorporating a brass or copper washer that would help seal it, similar to brake line connections?

If the seat is etched probably not. High pressure fuel is extraordinarily hard to keep sealed hence the machined surfaces.

On the positive side, examination of rail lines at this point may not be a bad idea. Any signs of pitting or galling on the sealing surfaces, corrosion or wear on the lines, a replacement is going to save you a tow and hard telling what else if you blow a line on a trip.

I've tightened #4 a couple times to stop a leak. So far, all the lines are original. 154k.
Sort of sounds like a new rail and all six lines. Another sigh... I am supposed to be working on the exhaust brake.
