I have a buddy with an 01 that is leaking fuel from the front of the cylinder head, facing the cooling fan. There is a wire loom to the alternator that has a support bolted to the head. Right next to that is a small hole maybe 1/4 that appears to have some sort of freeze plug pressed into it. It is leaking fuel when ever the engine is running. Any ideas? I thought maybe it was another return line port that is not used.

I suspect you are correct. Check the rear of the head and find the location where the fuel return line comes off, it goes down and the return from the VP tees into it, if the leak in front is in same relative position, then it is the fuel return gallery from the injectors. bg
