Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) does more boost = more power?

I have a fuel leak on the right side of my engine, (viewed from drivers side). the side of the air box, it is on the high pressure line at the nut. I understand that it's about 1200 psi. I did get the nut to tighten just a little. Is there any way to relieve the pressure to tighten more. I smelled the leak about 2 days ago and looked all over the fuel filter area and the hoses behind the engine. I towed my fifth wheel about 25 miles and when I stopped I found the leak. It was obvious.

Is this the high pressure injection line or the small return line? If it's the high pressure line you can back off the nut just a little bit to relieve the pressure if the engine is not running. If it insists on leaking you may have a crack in the line somewhere. The small return line does not have much pressure, especially when the engine is not running. The copper gasket might be bad on the banjo fitting if that is what is leaking.

Sorry but the HI pressure line is around 15,000#. It will cut you like a razor if you get a stream directed at your skin. Some times you can back the fitting off a little -- say 1/4 turn then retighten it and stop a leak (engine off). But I suspect that you have a crack in the line. If it does, replace it don't try to repair it. Just be careful to protect yourself from any direct spray hitting your skin.
