This is a small leak, only drips a 3" dia circle on floor at this time. The allen bolts that hold fuel line from tank to filter canister are wet... so I wonder where to start. I have not changed filters latley, is there a chance filter O ring is leaking?

i read that if you over tighten the plastic lid for the fuel filter it can crack, causing about what you have.

i would wipe the top of the canister down drive a couple miles and check.

I change fuel filter every fall, so its been untouched for a year. I wondered the same things posted earlyer so I change filter today. I will check it tomorrow to see if it is still wet. Oh the O ring from old filter was in good shape.

Just a little story about the " THE OLD O RING LOOKED GOOD " I did the samething on a Luberfiner filter on a BIG TRUCK it worked FOR AWHILE. When it let go I was at (full throttle more than likely) and it pretty much drain the oil from a 11Gal capacity before I could tell something had gone wrong. The filters have a new O ring in package when I buy mine. AND I USE IT even if the old one looked good.

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH. ;) JMO
