Hey guys hopefully tomorrow I'm goin to pull the tank and replace the infamous fuel level sensor in my 96. The question I have is the service manual says to put on a new locknut and gasket when re-installing the fuel module. I'm goin to put a new gasket on but is there any need for the locknut? And also it shows a special tool (of course) what advice do you'll have as far as to make things easier and what to watch out for (if anything) Thanks for you'lls help

The lock nut should be ok. In fact, the gasket probably is too, but it's such a PITA to pull the tank and change it if is not ok that it's best to replace it. The "special" tool is a large screwdriver and a hammer.
