Replaced fuel lines front end of truck 98 12v
ended up with a sharp bend (bent) hose between prefilter and banjo bolt on pump
I was using 3/8" marine hose for supply line,
prefilter barb and banjo barb on pump turned out it was 1/2"!
I kept whining about how hard it was to get my 3/8" hose on... lol
Well, I bought a 3/8" hose barb installed it on the prefilter,
but since I had already wrestled the 3/8" hose onto the 1/2' banjo bolt,
I didn't want to take it off (and didn't have a 3/8" barbed banjo bolt to replace it)
The bend between the 2 barbs is incredibly tight,
and my hose is bent pretty sharply
I tried rigging it with a big loop, but the sharp bend was still there so configured it like the original, only hose looks bent, not smooth angle
I plan to rig a guage to check my fuel pressure, but is this common with this fix (the sharp bend)? Is it usually ok?
