Going to install new lift pump at the fuel tank. I'm not sure what fittings to use for connecting the pump back into the stock fuel line. I know the threads are 12 by 1. 5 mm on the pump and the fuel line is 3/8. Would I use an AN to Standard connector? Which one would it be? I want to get this right the first time around. Thanks in advance.

a few questions ....

are you going to cut the facrory fuel line and splice into it back by the tank ? second are you moving the factory pump rearward ?

if answer to both is yes the i would get a 3/8 compression to 1/4 or 3/8 npt ( which ever has its thru hole the at least 5/16 ), 2 parker pushlock 3/8 hose barb to the npt size of your compression fitting , connect this to the tank end , get some parker push lock hose and 2 -6 JIC to hose barb ends , and 2 12mm x 1. 5 to -6 connector for the in and out of the lift pump ( if you are using the stock lift pump ). the parker stuff is cheap and just as good as the aeroquip or earls stuff and easier to get .

then there is addressing the end where the lift pump is or are you adding a pusher pump ? if no pusher pump cut the banjo off the adaptor to the stock fuel line and dupilacte the compression fitting setup on your fuel line to the 12mm adaptor to screw into the back of the fitler housing .

if you want you can give me a ring and i'll give you a more detailed descrip ...

John,

Thanks for the help. I tried to find some fittings locally and gave up. I finally just tapped out the 12 by 1. 5mm to 1/4 NPT . I Have not put the pump in but I think it should do just fine. I just hope I got all the metal shavings out of the pump:D I'll find out in the next couple of days. Take care.
