I have a friend who is building a boat and has gotten to the point of doing the fuel system. He would like to be able to run biodiesel but is struggling to find any fuel line that isn't unbelievably expensive (viton prices that he has found are ridiculous). In his other boat, he used mylar sleeved lines which have worked well but the company that supplied them is no longer in business.
The stuff carried by the local marine store says that it is nitrile with a hypalon cover. A quick search of nitrile turned up some responses that say it is not compatible with higher blends of bio although it is good for alcohol.
So is there any flexible fuel line that he can run for a reasonable cost?
Thanks.
