I know there are a ton of posts on this, but just wanted to share my thoughts and encourage those who are thinking about it. Necessity forced me to finally fix my truck, (getting a free running jeep will do that)
Here are the results:
Leaking fuel line MPG:
13mpg / town
15mpg / highway
New fuel line MPG:
Not sure in town figures yet...
23mpg / highway (unloaded)
13. 3mpg / with loaded 18' car trailer (v-8 jeep, plow and bed full of parts) at 70 mph.
I replaced the factory pickup with a vulcan draw straw and then ran 7/16 & 3/8th line from tank to motor. All told it cost $76 and at these fuel prices, I will recover that quickly.
So go out there and get It done!
