I found diesel fuel all under my truck today, I can see it dripping at a good rate from the fuel return line on top of the tank it appears. Truck runs fine. I wiggled the plastic connection and the leak seems to have stopped. I'm in the process of lifting the bed to get access to the tank top. I'm able to loosen or remove 6 of the 8 bed bolts, the two by the spare tire are too far gone to remove. I plan to cut off tommorrow.
My comment is that when I was wiggling the tank fuel return line with the engine running, I could really feel it pounding to the beat of I guess the fuel pump ? Is that normal or do I suddenly have some higher pressures causing this leak ?
