Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fuel Lines

What are the specs on replacing the fuel lines that deteriorate? I am looking at doing mine but don't know what to replace them with. I was also thinking about sliding my stock plate forward. Is this hard and how do I do it? Is it a big help? I would like to put in a TST plate but money is an issue at Christmas time.

Replaced mine this year and could not be happier. It was a tough job but far cheaper than what a dealer would want.
