Is there actually any mods that INCREASE mileage on the 325/610 motors? If I get a new one, I don't think I will add as much power as my current truck. Just looking for better mileage. Looking at an 05 3500 drw with 4. 10's.

Well a little more open exhaust, little more air in and a maybe a little quad tow box. Kinda the same a BOMBING. Its just were your heads at.

I think any of the boxes that give you about 60-65 hp will increase your mileage a little, as long as you drive it for the milage. :-laf

On the 2005 trucks mileage increases are small. You can install an Aeroturbine cat back exhaust, Scotty RA5 intake, Turbo Air Guide-III and a box such as the Edge EZ, Juice with Attitude or Banks Six-Gun.

Yeah, but don't expect any mpg increases until you get over the POWER!

I think it took me two months to see any "improvements" but boy was that a fun two months.

And what else did you do at that tiime?

That was it, I also installed a AFE filter, and muffler eliminator at different times. The filter did not make any difference. The straight pipe let the engine rev quicker and loward the EGT, but did not make any mpg improvment.

A cam change should help. PDR says the 03 thru 04. 5's are 7 deg. retarded. Don't know about the 05's.

Currently I am trying out an X-Zilleraider on the 60hp setting to see if I get any better.

I'm running a beta for mileage for SP Diesel (http://www.spdiesel.com/ ) on a mileage box. Not bad... 16+ Hwy less then 7300 miles on the ticker It needs a re-flash from them, but hey... thats Beta testing Give then a call they got all kinds of nice toys :)

Out of curiosity has anyone seen any mileage improvements by changing the turbo on a third gen? I met a guy that has twins and he claims his mileage improved after the installation.
