Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) FUEL OIL vs. DIESEL

Question; why does my truck have more power, get better fuel milage, and have lower egt's when running fuel oil?(ya, i know it's illegal, bla, bla, bla)Just woundering why this is so, especially with this "new and improved", lower sulfer diesel. Any input would be appreciated. 96' ram 2500,timing 15. 5, marine injectors, 191DV's, plate slid a touch,

You're probably burning #2 instead of a winterized blend of #1 and #2. #2 provides more BTU's than #1. You should try HAGO fuel if you want to see horsepower! (Kids, please do not try this at home, we are trained professionals here!)
