Rlyons was telling me about the bully dog fuel pin so I looked around on the internet for the best price. Most places it ranged from 185-215 dollars. I found it for 129 dollars from jeggs. Just wondering what you guys had found on this item as far as price goes, anybody find any better price than $129?

How about this. Does anyone have the P/N for the pin? I have the schematic breakdown of the Manifold Pressure Compensator but no part numbers! On the part breakdown the Reference number is #41

I can see if my local shop has any spare pins, and can have you send me back a "core" He has about 3 VEs in varying states of disassemly and disarray.

It won't be cheap. If you've ever priced just about any pump part, you'll know Bo$ch part$ are expensive.

Bill's right on that. I was going to replace the levers on the throttle shaft because the spring wore into them, then broke. $50-$60 for the levers, each! I welded up the posts, then sanded them smooth. :)

I also priced the levers, and passed on it because of the price. Daniel, thanks but skip it. I want to get one to butcher and still keep the original. It would be cheaper than a BD etc.

On Bosch prices-

My pump had a crack in the throttle lever, and I had to pay $50 for a new one. I may weld up the old one eventually, but I lack access to a welder.

DP send it to me. I have access to a TIG welder.

Everyone playing with fuel pins. If someone offers you a Diesel Dynamics fuel pin. Stay away. They are junk.

I'll elaborate on Phillip's comment since I have some experience with one.

The pin as purchased is soft steel. It will wear quickly.

Because if this I had offered to get one heat treated for a memeber a couple opf years ago. . (J Durham if memory serves me).

After I had it hardened, I gave it a bit of a test run in my truck.

TOTAL DOG is the only way I can describe it. It made the truck run worse that it does with the stock fuel pin ion the minimum setting. Where I was getting 25 psi at that time, I could only muster about 15 with the DD pin.

Yeah Jay, it was mine. I've still got that little beauty in a box, wondering what to do with it. Philip was here last year, and we just moved mine and it was a better fix than using the one I bought...
