Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) fuel plate and egr

I am looking at getting a number 8 plate for my 97 cc 4x4 auto 2500, but the TST website says they won't sell them for EGR equipped trucks. Is this for fitment purposes or smog? They should work just fine right? I took my EGR system off and blocked the orfices with homemade steel plates. So I quess it doesn't have EGR, but how would they know if it does?

Just call them up and order the plate you want, they don't need to know any info on your truck. The plate will work just fine with the nuetered EGR.

Your egr manifold reduces down to about 1 1/2" in the center. Big restriction.

BPonci made a good point about the intake. I would try to find a non EGR intake manifold and you should be set.
