I Know nothing about the Pre VP44 era ... .

But Ive heard of grinding the fuel plate , no. 2 fuel plate , Sliding the fuel plate back and all that jazz .....

A friend of mine just Completly removed his fuel plate.

Is that normal ???

I suppose EGT would have to be over the roof... . ?

It seems the same folks who boast of running without a plate are the same ones complaining of a broken injection pump a few months later. Without a plate the rack stop pin can break off, a $1200 repair.
