Is there a site anywhere or maybe a link to a post on here that shows good pics of what the different plate profiles look like from say a #10 all the way down to a #0? I am interested to see the curve changes as the plate reaches the flat #0. I am also curious to search out another plate in that range that will give me some more top end power than my current #10. I have heard a #4 has great top end fueling but want to check out the profile first. :D

Thanks, Joe

Thanks guys,

Signal73, I have a #0, #10 and a #100. I ground my Banks plate to a #0, and ground my stocker to a #100. #10 is what I am running right now. :)

Forrest, that is a great pic of the #4, I guess you have to set the governor lever kinda high on that to get it to ride that profile. How is bottom end fueling and turbo spool with that much less fueling at the bottom end?

Any other pics or references of a #5, 6 or any other plates between #10 and #0??

Thanks, Joe

I don't know where my lever was running on the #4. The turbo spooled right now w/plenty of EGT & smoke, so I'm guessing I was indexing right @ the deepest part. :-laf

btw ... the deepest part of the #4 is a littler deeper than a #0. After that it cuts back just a little shallower than a #0 ... probably to cut down on top end fuel & EGT.

I'd guess if you put one of those animals in, you'd adjust the lever to hit pretty close to the deep part & hang on. Or grind the nose so that it angles more 'down', steeper than the #10's bottom ramp so you don't hang up under it.

It'd be interesting to see how it does with your turbo ... ought to be fun to just put it in centered & see if you can find the peg on your EGT guage. :D

I am new to this site, but I have found that I run much better without my plate.

Sounds like you better start dong some research on running no plate cuz you'll find that it is a bad idea and will not make more power than a given plate in a properly tuned pump. :)
