A couple of Newby questions

My New Truck

guys how hard is it to install a fuel plate from tst im thinking about ordering one but i dont want to get it and not be able to do it i have to get gages to i have a couple of days off and i might try to do it  let me know some of you guys did it man am i hooked on this truck ;)

sound like the bomb bug bit ya! it doesnt take all that long, i would either have the gauges installed prior to the fuel plate or include that into your install.

I would suggest doing the gauges first. After you put the plate in, be prepared to start upgrading the transmission, too, if it hasn't already been done. The plate isn't that hard to install, just be sure you follow the directions. If you have any problems, there are plenty of guys on these boards willing to lend a hand, or offer advice. And if you think you're hooked on this truck, now, just wait. :D

Yes, get the gauges first. you will need to keep an eye on the egts. You will like the plate. Heres a hint to. Get the 3000rpm springs too

Took me about 30 min to put the fuel plate in. I took my time and screwed off some so it can be done faster. Main thing to watch out for is dropping stuff down into the pump. I had to loosen the fuel line on the side of the pump to get the AFC housing off. It would be smarter to put the guages in first and then do the plate. Took me about 1. 5 hours to install my guages.
