What differance is there in sliding a # 12 plate versus buying a #11 or a #10 and keeping it in the stock location?

the different plates have dif fuel curves. some defuel at the top more than others and i assume others would add more fuel down low. plate choice depends on what you use the truck for. most use a #11 for towing and ive been told the #10 is to hot for pulling heavy loads and will slip the stock clutch. you can move it back to prevent this though. the #12 is prett mild and i havent heard of any temp issues. #10 work greak with a gsk and i dont think its recomended with 11. gook luck.

could grind the stocker too :D

just read your sig. have 5th hitch so i assume you tow heavy. i would say go with the #11 and adjust it front or back for safe egt's and clutch slippage

The #1 all around plate is a #10 matched with a set of 3K's, it doesn't matter what truck, pump, year, auto, 5 speed it is the best plate. In some models it will only make 320 hp but in some it will make 400 or better, bottom line is it has a nice fuel curve, pulls hard in the mid range and de-fuel's a bit on the top to control EGT's and has lots of adjustment.

The problem I'm having with the #12 is if Islid it all theway forward my egt go thru the roof on wot. Would a 11 or 10 control this better and do you know if TST still does the trade up plate deal for 50 bucks. I got a rally clutch suppose to good for 350/700.

#1 All Around Plate... So if adding the #10 plate and 3k gsk. What about the boost? You have to do something with it to keep the EGT's in check, right? Depending on the boost and how efficient your turbo is, this would say how much HP you are going to make with the new parts.

Is this right, close or wrong?

how well will a 10 plate with a gsk tow compared to an 11 plate? which one would give me more power and keep egt's reasonable.

You'll are missing the point, the 10 will not control and EGT issue that you have towing, EGT's are HP, RPM and air related. The #10 does help out in the higher RPM because of it's fuel cut back after the engine is out of it's max H. P. range, if you are going to stay at the same power and want lower EGT's then add more cooling, Turbo, Intercooler, Water Injection ect or take power out of it.
