I have removed my preheater like everyone else. I have heard that the fuel preheater and the grid heater are wired in together. Is this true or not?

The fuel pre-heater and grid heaters are definitely on a different circuit. If you want to disable the fuel pre-heater too, simply unplug it at the heater.

Disabling the fuel pre-heater would keep the connetor/heating element burning up causing air leak. Should not have one on 24 valves just 12 valves.

For intake heaters disabling them wouldn't do much, you would have to remove them. The theory, you would get more air flow into the intake manifold.

With winter coming on it would be a good idea to leave intake heaters connected/installed. Unless you live the very sunny/warm south.

As I understand it you now get 2 error codes because the ECM thinks something is wrong with the grid heaters. Is this true?

In following a couple of threads on this subject it seems like if you:

1. Put a 1k ohm resistor in parallel with the IAT that the ECM would think it was always too warm to activate the grid heaters.

2. Then disconnect the power to the grid heaters at the battery because the ECM does not check to see if power is being supplied from the battery.

3. Then if you want to actually remove the heater element from the intake manifold do so but connect the two wires to the element (each side) together so the ECM sees the "element" is still in place.

From what I gather the ECM checks that the grid relays are functioning, and the grid element shows continuity, but there is A LOT I do ot fully understand about the grid heater circuits.
