Hey fellers. . Just got my set of Hewitt guages, (they look great), not hooked up yet, but mounted for the day in the 'A' pillar. My ques is , is anyone having probs w/ a 0-30 psi fuel pressure guage being pegged?. Everything I've read and heard says the max fuel pressure can reach up to 36 lbs. . ?. . Hewitt doesn't make a 0-40 psi guage and I haven't found any others either ('cept for 'boost' guages used as fuel guages). . Does pegging the 0-30 guage hurt them in the long run? And does anyone else know of who makes a 0-40 guage that SAYS "Fuel Pres. " on it (or at least nothing at all). I don't want a guage in there that says 'boost' on it. . Thanks. . JohnG

PS. Shame is Hewitt doesn't make 'em. . I really like the looks of these and the backlighting AND the needle that's lit, looks great.

John,

Are you referring to LP pressures in 2nd gen (24v) or pressures for trucks (12v) listed in your signature?

For my 24v, I've never seen my pressure exceed 16 psi. That includes the spike seen when cycling the key just before starting my truck.

Not sure what's seen in 12v trucks.
