Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel Pressure Bouncing

Noticed on the last trip that my fuel pressure guage was going from 15psi at idle to 10psi at idle and back. Never got below 7-8 at WOT but i dont like the bouncing pressure. I just put a new lift pump on (stock location) less than 5K miles ago. I have also installed www.powerbypoole.com Big Line Kit. Truck has 4" exhaust and a comp box.



After doing some research, was thinking it may be a fuel filter... it is probably getting close to time to change that... but looking to see if anyone else has had the bouncing. I know the FP threads get beat to death.



Is relocating the pump closer the the tank... worth the time??

pump relocation is worth it in my book. just put on the vulcan kit. for 100 buck i cant be happier. took me about an hour to do the install.

My last 2 stock lift pumps died after they started bouncing like that. No more bouncing with my FASS.
