Hello - First of all I am happy to be a new member here - this is my first posting and hopefully I am not asking already answered questions... .
I have a 2001 with the Banks Powerpack - she's in the shop right now getting about $2800 worth of Suncoast love installed and when she comes out I'm sure I'll be tempted to test it out. I have already had one VP44 go bad in this truck and it was covered by warranty. I have read previous posts about the vulnerability of this injector pump to vacuum, and the dependence on a healthy supply pump.
I am going with the 'anything but vacuum' school and really don't want to start fixing stuff till it needs it. The FASS system looks nice but I am thinking a Hobbs 2 psi pressure switch installed in the pressure test port with a dummy light would notify me of dangerous low pressure. This way I can monitor the existing system and not spend the dough on replacing good parts.
Anybody have previous experience with this set up? If yes what components and where to tap?
Thanks in advance - Eric Lee in Kalamazoo MI www.leecustomiron.com
