got me a gauge from sears to check the pressure. When I got it home I realized that the package says "not for diesel engines". Why is that? Seems I read somewhere that I can still use it? Will it do any damage? Thanks.

You wern't planning to check the Injection line pressures were you? Methinks that is what they (sears) are referring to. That gauge (I havent seen it) is probably to check the rail pressure on a gasoline fuel injected engine.

You diesel pressures would be much higher!!! :)

pressuregage

i used a cheap gage from home depot plumbing dept. it read from 0-30 psi and it fit in the test port on top of the fuel filter.
