I am putting in a Westech Fuel Pressure gauge and want to mount the sender unit on the fender. I have gotten the appropriate fiitings for my truck (98. 5 ISB) with the 1/8" NPT to Barb etc. My question is this. DO YOU HAVE TO USE ANY TYPE OF SEALER ON THESE THREADS AND/OR TEFLON TAPE ETC.

I want to do it right so this is the best place to get the right advice before I mess things up.

thanks,

Bob Caldwell

Permatex or Anti-sieze are recommended with diesel

Teflon gets "eaten up" after a while when exposed to diesel. I had to redoo a number of fuel fittings in my day before I discovered what was going on. ;)

You can buy thread sealant at any auto parts store, cheap insurance. I would'nt use teflon tape with the diesel fuel as Steve Campbell said.
