Hi all,

Does anyone have any directions on how to install my westach fuel pressure gauge,I can't seem to figure this out, what do I need,Genos Garage sent it to me along with a banjo bolt, but I guess im not understanding the directions that came with it:(

PLEASE any help would be appreciated:D

I'm guessing that Geno's sent you a banjo bolt ( Ray T. 's) that is tapped for a 1/8NPT sender, correct ? If so, replace the OEM banjo at either the bottom of the fuel filter canister or the at the inlet to the VP44 (my choice is the bottom of the filter housing) then run your sender into the 1/8NPT pressure port on the banjo. Word of caution, many have seen senders go bad post filter, you might want to isolate the sender by running a legnth of grease gun hose (already has 1/8" NPT fittings, again, going by the members here that have used same) and place the sender at the end of the remote hose. Hope this helps !!!

Westach FP Installation

Installed my Westach FP gauge a couple of months ago...

1. If you got the old instructions using the old sender (instructions tell you to use a clamp around the sender for a ground) the new sender that is included doesn't need this. It also doesn't matter which terminal you use for ground and which goes to the meter (they do suggest you use the same ground for the meter and sender).

2. I highly recommend you mount the sender remotely (not directly to the VP44). I had mine mounted directly, and it started giving erradic readings within 200 miles of installation. Once I mounted it remotely, the problems went away.

3. When you mount the new banjo bolt you can use the old poly washers (one on each side of the banjo) or use the new ones if they are damaged. MAKE SURE YOU GET BOTH WASHERS BACK ON, OR YOU WILL HAVE A FUEL LEAK!.

Have fun..... ;)
