With my FASS I have a steady 16psi idle and never lower than 14WOT. I like the FASS because of the bypass that maintains a constant flow of fuel. With the original LP I usually had around 11 psi and could pull it down to 8 psi. It did better with the Vulcan relocation kit it bumped up about 1 psi. But best with the FASS and I don't hear it run like some do.

jhoughton,

I didn't realize that there was that much difference between 12v & 24v fuel pressure.

Maybe my massaged p-pump has something to do with it----:p

I'm waiting for the the supply store to open to fix my gauge issue.

Thanks for all your help,

WAYNES WORLD

Big Difference,24v's are 14-17lbs and 12v's are 20-50 lbs.

That has zero to do with what problem your having.

Did you read through Signal73's fuel pressure gauge in the FAQ area in the 12v forum?. If you did then you would have realized the need to have the valve from the sart and your problems would have been none... ... Andy

Hammer,

I have to ask--------- did you hammer the point home to me?:-laf

Sorry, ;)-------I didn't look for that in the FAQ info------ MY BAD

I see the gauge that signal73 installed was for under the hood. I want mine on the pillar. But the same valve can be used for either install, I'm sure.

I liked the fuel pressure info. Its where I wanted to be after the pump massage. :-laf

Hope you had a MERRY CHRISTMAS,

Wayne. .

It wasn't meant to drive home a point, just meant to help, sorry if I came across to strong.

You should be able to use the same valve in your application... ... Andy

I'll throw in how I have mine set up. I run an isolator and on the gauge side, I only have air inside the line. Now when it gets cold, I have to crack the line open to balance the air pressure out, but I've never had any other issue and my needle doesn't bounce.

Andy,

I'm sorry if that is how it was interpreted by you. ---MY BAD.

I was trying to go with your handle for a joke.

PToombs,

I purchased the valve at Granger yesterday. Thanks.

Ben,

I never thought it was air in the line. I'll check that out.

Thank You,

HAPPY NEW YEAR ,

Hi All;

Sorry for my ignorance, but why are people not using electric gauges? I am sure the electric gauges are quite as accurate as mechanical gauges, however, aren't they close enough?

Thanks for the info.

Ron

electric gauges are more money. . there has also been problems with the pressure transducers [mostly on the autometer ones] dying within a few weeks after install [autometer even now recommends an isolator hose for the 0-30 ones, and does not recommend the 0-15 ones for diesel applications]

if i could verify i could run an autometer 0-30 electric pressure gauge off some other transducers i have access to, i would buy one right now [i've got access to some transducers that can handle lots of abuse]
