Fuel Pressure gauge light pwr source

Hi,

2007 5. 9 3500 SRW



I hooked up my 2u filter and fuel pressure gauge. I'm trying to wire the light in the FP gauge through the trucks dimmer switch. I removed the connecter that goes to the Headlamp switch and located the OR/BR wire coming from the #2 location on the plug. Is this the correct wire to tap for connection to the FP gauge lamp?

The manual schematic uses jargon that, electrically speaking, I'm not familiar with. Such as driver, signal and return. As one can imagine ,I don't want to fry anything.

i would hook it back up, and use a test light to figure out what orange/black is for the dimmer. on mine, i think it was the one closest to your knee.

There is a 'dimmer' fuse, it is variable voltage from hdlp sw,
install a piggyback fuse ( addafuse), that will give you a variable lamp voltage circuit for the add on gages.

Thanks. I picked up the power to drive my fuel gauge lamp off the OR/BR wire from the headlamp switch... It was the OR/BR wire the furthest to the drivers door.
