I was wondering if any one has run into this problem. I switch my fuel sending unit from one test port to another on my 98. 5. When I tightened the brass plug it cracked on the side where it goes into the filter assembly. I guess I just tightened it to much. Any help on a fix will sure help. Thank you

If it were me I'd take the sender back off that side, try some JB Weld, and put the brass plug back in. Other than that you may be stuck buying a new top.

What about a short brass bolt with same thread pitch? Cut one to length and buff off any burrs. Should work just fine.
