2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Fuel pressure gauge question

I'm asking Santa for some gauges for Christmas and I was wondering what the difference is between a mechanical fuel pressure gauge and an electronic gauge. I'm leaning towards the Pricol Optix line so any feedback would be appreciated.

I ran a digital electric one to my steering column and tee's off the sending unit for a mechanical one under the trucks bed frame as check and back up.

I also used a ball valve to snubb the pulses, I shut it off and started the motor and slowly turned valve till the pressure just started to read and left it there. ED
