How long does your fuel pressure gauge sending unit last? My Westach one fails around every four years. I'v been tolled this is common. It is getting very expensive at $60. 00 a copy. Does any one else know of a better brand that will last longer?

Where do you hook it up?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a question for you. Assuming that you are using the mechanical lift pump, where did you plumb in the fuel pressure gauge? I am thinking of installing one.

It was installed in my FASS pump back by the fuel tank. I am running the stock fuel system after that (fuel heater, strainer, Lift pump, filter, injection pump) so the other best place might be in the engine fuel filter housing on the outflow side.

Lot's of us tap the return banjo at the injection pump. Be sure to use a snubber as the pulses from the lift pump are pretty harsh.

Sadly, not as long as yours does! I'm on my 3rd one in five years. I have mine mounted on the firewall so vibration isn't the problem. My dad has also gone thru three of them in his '99. Although, he's had better luck than I have. He's only gone thru three in twelve years.
