fuel pressure gauge

Just got my 01. 5 last week. Want to start out with gauges and exhaust. I was wondering of it was worth $120 for a fuel pressure isolator(for mechanical gauge). Does this effect the gauge at all?Better/worse? I am planning to mount in the a-pillar and was curious about being able to fit the stainless steel line up to that area. Thanks for any info this site is the cause of my bloodshot eyes!!!

Suggest you put fuel pressure gauge third on your list of gauges. Pyrometer first and boost gauge second, better both at same time. These tell you how hot and well your engine is running before you cook your turbo (really important if you tow). The fuel pressure gauge will let you know if that is the reason the truck is dragging its butt.



I hope to get gauge number three soon as I've had two lift pumps fail on me. Finding a reliable electric gauge doesn't appear to be that easy.

I was wondering about a good fuel pressure gauge too. I was thinking about the dipricol gauges, but they don't seem to have fuel pres. gauges, and boost gauge may not be high enough when bombed. Some fuel pres. gauges say "for testing purposes only" What gauges are good, and match the truck gauges?
