Installed my fuel pressure guage, Autometer ultralite, when I start the truck the meter does a complete 360 and then is pegged at 15. I checked the pressure with a simple guage and I am reading 12 psi. Is something installed wrong to keep the Autometer guage pegged at 15?

Augustus, Autometer Ultra lite mechanical gauge ??? Or is it the one with the electric sender ??? When you say it does a complete 360 then goes to 15 psi's... do you mean that it is actually spinning past 15 psi's and then all the way around back to 15 psi's ??? Or are you saying that it just goes right from 0-15 psi's when started at idle ??? I'm guessing the second one here as I doubt the gauge needle could get past the pin that it rests on when at 0. If it's going to 15 psi's at idle, all is well and you have good psi's. Can you drag the psi's down when you accelerate ??? You should be able to drag the FP down to 13-14 when pressing the go pedal at idle, more when moving of course. Hope this helps !!!

By the way, it's not really pegged at 15 psi's... I have had mine spun past 15 psi's, all the way to the 7 o'clock position on the gauge while adjusting the Mallory pump.

Autometer mechanical guage. I'd swear it spins all the way around and then ends up at the 7 o'clock position. Accelerating does not pull it down. One guy checked my fuel pressure and said I was running 22 psi. I checked it with my temporary guage and only read 12 psi at the filter housing. I don't think he knew what he was doing. I am a little confused as to what is going on.

Yikes

I just re-read your sig line and see that you are running a pusher pump, i. e. , two pumps in tandem ??? If that's the case I see why your gauge is reading at the 7 o'clock position. I believe that most of the guys with the pusher pumps are seeing around 20-22 psi's at idle. I don't know how long that gauge will withstand that kind of over pressure, I tried to get a reply from Autometer on this topic and never received a response. You might want to consider a different Autometer gauge, such as their Vac/pressure gauge which will read up to 20 psi's positive pressure. Another option is to just use their 30 psi boost gauge. I think that gauge is going to fail on you if used long term.
