I just recieved my Westac fuel pressure guage and am ready for the install. Just a few questions:

Does the sending unit have to be mounted verticle?

Can I use the 18" pressure hose from Geno's to hook right up to the VP44 schraeder valve?

The sending unit has two posts on it, but neither is labeled. Which goes to the guage and which to ground?

Any tips or pics would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I've mounted both vertical and not-so-vertical. Both seemed to give fine readings to me.

Either, doesn't matter.

I got the ame set up as yours, but instead of a direct hook up to the VP44 valve, I ordered a kit from MBrolin here on the TDR which replaces the bolt on the bottom of the fuel filter canister with a banjo bolt, and hooks the sender hose in to there. Not associsted with Mr. Brolin in anyway, just a satisfied customer, listing options. I perfered this method, just incase anything does happen to the VP44 and I have to take it to the dealer, they can't gripe about anything pertaining to the VP44. The kit also includes a mount for the sending unit that uses your brake booster. I thought that it made for a very sweet install. JM2cents. God Bless, James

you can use the hose from geno's on the shader valve, my post wern't marked so i tried both when hooked wrong my gauge just peged out hooked right it read zero i bought the 16 psi gauge. hope this helps!!

I checked with the dealer, who I get along very well with, and he OK'ed the whole set up. So I'll go right off the schraeder valve. Now I just have to rig a bracket for the sender. Thanks for the responses.
