I just returned from a 900 mile trip and noticed my Pricol Optic eletric fuel pressure gage was reading 12 lbs for most of the trip, more likely the whole trip. The guage has always run at 8lbs since it was installed two years ago and would move some based on the road and when pulling a camper. When I got home and turned the truck off I noticed the guage went to zero and all the way back to the max on the guage 35lbs. and stayed there. I took the truck out the nest day and the guage stayed on 35lbs and did not move.

When the truck was turned off the guage did the same thing---went to zero and back to 35lbs.

The truck runs fine, no hesitation or sign of lack of fuel.

The truck is on 03 3500 HO with standard transmission. It has 50,000 miles and the fuel filter was changed at 47,000 miles. Truck is completely standard except for an exhaust brake.

And ideas of what the problem could be or what to look for. ---Appreciate the help

Hi Frank

I had weird FP readings with my DiPricol and it was due to the face screws coming loose.

I cut the unit apart tightened the screws and epoxied it back together. Been good since (3 years 40K miles or so).

Otherwise it is considered non-serviceable.
