RobG... good question, I'm working on the same project for my ETH with the SPA gauge. I spoke with Nowel (HVAC) and he put me in touch with a member of the TDR (Brandon). I sent Brandon an e-mail and will post the reply when I receive same. According to Nowel, Brandon knows which adapter to use in order to get readings from either the pump or post filter, using the schrader as a source.

I think the best way to mount the sender is to remove the injection pump fuel line banjo bolt then drill and tap it for your sender. It will be out of the way and very resistant to breakage from vibration.

I'm a 12 valver,what I consider poor pressure is fine for a 24 valve,can't help you there.

Ask for an Aeroquip 2242-2-4s. (this is typically a hydraulic application fitting) It will adapt the Schrader valve for you.

Is this a fitting I can order from any shop that carries funky fittings?

Do you remove the schrader valve when you put it on?

Thanks!

Rob

I have not done this yet but I have a friend that has. The funky pipe fitting shop (local Hydraulic Supply house) should have them.

This particular adapter adapts the tubing type fitting that the schrader valve is in to 1/8" pipe thread. You have to remove the schrader valve.

RobG... still working on it. I spoke to Nowel last night via e-mail and am now playing phone/e-mail tag with Brendon. I'll post as soon as I speak with Brandon.

Thanks for the update! I look forward to hearing more news. #ad

I will be calling SPA on Monday to order a pair of wire extensions so I can hook up temp senders to the US Gear Overdrive and to my rear diff (once my Mag-Hytec cover arrives). While I'm on the phone with them, I'll ask about the overly bright backlighting issue.

Brandon is the person to ask we did mine friday when we upgraded the fuel lines he knows the ins and outs mine is a 2001. 5 and we are post filter

2001. 5 ETH/DEE DD3's EZ HX40 machined out for more flow, Custom 4" exhaust turbo back staight pipe with 5" chrome tip in front of rear tires, spa's, mcleod clutch, fuel lines, mag hytech rear end cover, more to come

I just got off the phone with Brandon and would strongly suggest that anyone looking for good info on a 2001 install contact him. He has done quite a bit of testing and believes that he now has found the best way to go in regards to the sender installation. Contact Brandon at :

Okay... can anybody tell me exactly what the fitting is that is an Aeroquip 2242-2-4s? My local fittings guy (who has **** near everything) doesn't have an Aeroquip book to look it up, and we've had no luck trying to adapt fittings onto the schrader valve end of the fuel filter.

Thanks.

Rob

I think the generic name is -4AN fittings.
I got mine from a local speed shop. NAPA and other like them didn't have them.
I used 2 -4ANx1/8nptFemale.
